Not every event calls for a wedding-style documentary approach, but it does call for the same instinct: get the photographs without becoming the evening’s main event.
I cover hunt balls, charity dinners, private celebrations and corporate social events, mostly around Leicestershire and the East Midlands, with work in London and further afield by arrangement.
I dress for the room — black tie for a ball, smart and unobtrusive for a corporate evening — so I’m working alongside your guests rather than standing out among them. I like to blend in, which tends to mean more natural photographs and fewer guests who notice they’re being photographed at all.
If your event has any connection to the hunting or wider equestrian calendar, that’s familiar territory for me both as a guest and as the photographer working it.
