Cottesmore Scurry and Foxhunters Preview 2025

The Cottesmore Scurry

This year’s Cottesmore Scurry and Foxhunters will take place on Saturday 4th October.

Parking for both races is in a field entered from ///encloses.reshaping.quilt

The Cottesmore Scurry 2025, sponsored by The Fox & Hounds, Knossington

The start of the Scurry is at approximately ///windpipe.vitamins.damp, just South of Wilson’s.

To walk the course you are advised to park near the radio mast where there is a lane accessed from ///dried.strides.satellite with space to park off-road. From there walk South across two fields, go through the gate at the bottom of the hill and then walk South-East to the starting field.

On the South side of Orton Park Wood there is some freshly ploughed ground so it is imperative that you stick to the headland left for the race. Anybody seen leaving hoof prints in the seeded ground will be disqualified.

The course now heads down to the bottom of the hill and up the other side.

the Bleak House loop

The first half of the Bleak House loop brings you right to left across the hedge on the far right of this image, where there is a left-hand marker, then across the field below the house, and across the hedge on the far left of this image. The course then heads to the bottom of the hill again to a set of rails where there is another left-hand marker.
